Dear Friends and Supporters,
I have reached the first anniversary since the launch date of Authors in Oundle. We held our launch event at The Lemon Tree in Oundle in June last year. I’ve had a fabulous first year, with over 750 people attending 8 events so far, the majority of which were sold out, and another event coming up on June 18th. It has always been my aim to bring the most interesting, high-quality, entertaining events to Oundle for local people to enjoy. I’ve had fantastic audiences, with many repeat attendees, and received many wonderful supporting comments from people.
I would like to convey my thanks to many people. Firstly, to the amazing, interesting authors who have come here to speak for me, to the venues and their staff who have accommodated my events, to the Oundle Bookshop who have attended all the events, selling the authors books, to my loyal band of volunteers who man the events and eat the cake, my tech, website and sound guys, the various businesses who promote and sponsor my events, the printers who produce my marketing materials, and to my family and partner for their background support and encouragement.
My sincere thanks to all for joining me on this wonderful journey.
